Position: Technical Writer
Where: Seattle

Responsibilities:
- Research, Organize, Write, Edit and Produce high quality client-facing field support and installation documentation
- Recommend overall organization and layout, editorial standards & publication methods based on an understanding of the customer use model
- Extract product and usage information from engineering teams and produce clear, concise and accurate documentation
- Maintain & communicate plans and schedules for documentation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or Technical Writing certificate, and 5 years technical writing experience
- Proven success producing engineering-oriented documentation
- Previous experience working with user manuals or field service documentation would be highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy-Experience using multiple documentation tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles
- Strong Project Management skills to help plan, communicate and update stakeholders on progress
- Experience interviewing engineers to elicit accurate content
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability contribute to the effectiveness of the work environment
- A proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering the right results
- A passion to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to stay on target and on track under normal circumstances, and to expedite efforts when required
- Ideal candidates have both a technical background that enables them to easily interact with engineers and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documents
