What: Do you think you would like to start a business? Wondering how to go about it?

In this free workshop, you will learn:

  • The resources that are available to you through the U.S. Small Business Administration-where to go for help.
  • The steps in starting a business.
  • Types of business organizations.
  • Information on writing a business plan.
  • How to do research.
  • What lenders look for when applying for a business loan.
  • The importance of developing a cash flow projection and how to do it.
  • And other great information!

Who: Instructing is Nita Conlan, the Director of the Washington Business Center at Community Capital Development. She has owned her own small businesses, worked in small businesses, and has provided consulting/technical assistance and training to small businesses for a number of years. Nita holds a Business Degree in Marketing from the University of Texas.
