Position: Application Developer

What: P2 Solutions Group is looking to bring a talented Application Developer into a client team. This role will be responsible for playing a key role in designing, developing, enhancing and evolving the core business application for the organization. You will work with a team to gather requirements build technical specification, build solutions, and enhance over time.
Other responsibilities include:
- Design and develop custom web applications to capture data from external parties. Coordinate with project teams to capture and translate business requirements into design documentation. Support the development and integration of in-house and third party one-off applications to support the business.
- Coordinate with distributed development teams to evaluate problems, assemble options, and build solutions.
- Review software tool options and make recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and five or more years’ experience in application development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong development knowledge of C# and .NET 3.5/4.0 with specific experience building ASP.net reporting solutions and web applications.
- Experience with a database (SQL Server a plus) and knowledge of writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and/or Triggers.
- Experience with JQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, XML, CSS or HTML5.
- Some experience with WCF/LINQ.
- Technical documentation and application design experience. Ability to work with business analysts to clarify requirements and design quality solutions.
- Experience in varied SDLC environments.
- Ability to work independently to design, build and deliver solutions.
- Experience developing enterprise systems a plus.
- Desired experience includes SharePoint development, MS BI Tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), TFS Source Control, MVC 3.0, and Java Technologies.
