We’re looking for a highly communicative, super-organized, web project manager who will be responsible for creating a cohesive development team and overseeing completion of the current software development life cycle (code writing to beta to release). Secondary and ongoing focus to involve project management of system release life cycles; from development & documentation, to testing, and user and stakeholder experience improvement. Duties include documenting system tools and functionality, testing and reviewing new and updated tools, and communicating results to necessary parties. Collaborative efforts with staff such as the QA/QC Coordinator, Customer Support Team, the Training and Development Coordinator, and Senior Management. This role is ultimately responsible for managing the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in hiring and development of new team members to staff for efficient completion of required projects.
  • Team build through leadership, advocacy, coaching, and training.
  • Develop team objectives in support of overall project goals.
  • Establish a method and schedule for team code review.
  • Complete timely staff performance and wage evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, track progress (goals, budget, and schedule), and provide status reports.
  • Adjust priorities as needed based on business needs, level of importance, and customer/staff needs.
  • Establish a communication strategy for providing regular status reports to project team members, customer support staff, IT staff, the executive team, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  • Effectively identify and resolve project issues throughout the project and release life cycle.
  • Determine and document system service standards; ensure service standards are agreed upon and communicated to necessary parties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in a web project manager role or similar experience leading development teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience .
  • Demonstrated experience with SDLC methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum.
  • PMP Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with high-volume web application architectures.
  • Experience with large i18n/l10n projects.
  • Experience writing project plans and developing project schedules.
  • Experience with open source team management and productivity systems.
  • Understanding of Web UI/UX best practices.
  • Familiarity with Atomic Design.
  • Experience with RWD interface design.
  • Experience with wireframing tools, such as Axure or Balsamiq.
  • Familiarity with basic front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript).
  • Familiarity with server-side scripting languages, such as PHP, Ruby, or TCL.
  • Familiarity with compiled languages, such as C or Java.
  • Familiarity with SQL database design and best practices.
  • Familiarity with network architecture and design.
  • Familiarity with Linux server administration and performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor contracts and implementations.
  • Ability to build consensus amongst project team members and key stakeholders.
