Building IOS Apps With Swift Bootcamp

December 12, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$100

Who: General Assembly
Where: General Assembly @WeWork, 500 Yale Avenue N, Seattle, WA
When: December 12, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
What: Mobile apps have become a staple in everyday life. There are over 1.2 million apps in the app store and Apple has sold more than $10B dollars in apps since the first iPhone launched. Knowing how to build simple apps can help you bring your ideas to life, and knowing how to build them using Swift, the new programming language from Apple, lets you bring those ideas to life quickly and more easily, while learning the language Apple devices are likely to support for decades to come.
During this weekend bootcamp, you will learn the essentials and best practices of the Swift programming language, from optionals and closures to initialization rules and generics. You’€™ll get familiar with the standard iOS dev tools such as Xcode, Interface Builder and the iOS Simulator. Finally, you’ll leave the bootcamp having built an iOS app from scratch, equipped with the resources and the 2 key skills needed to continue to learn and grow as an iOS developer for years to come.
