Summary
The Production Copy Editor edits product copy for zulily.com. We are looking to ensure that all product copy is consistent with the zulily voice, has accurate information for our customers and is free of grammatical errors and typos. This position works closely with the Production Writers as well as our design and merchandising teams to maintain effective and compelling copy that reflects the zulily brand. Ability to work effectively within diverse groups and disciplines is a must. An understanding of Web writing and editing, strong organizational skills and a genuine passion for children’s items is also highly desirable.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities/Core Accountabilities
Edit a large volume of product descriptions for grammar, spelling, usage and style, adhering to the zulily copy style guide Rewrite content for clarity and consistency, if necessary Maintain live product pages, making adjustments and corrections as needed, quickly and efficiently Provide feedback to writers on editorial changes Develop an understanding of children’s hard goods and of apparel fabrication and content, fit and other related technical product details Establish strong relationships across departments

Qualifications

Knowledge of AP style guide Strong command of the English language Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manager a high volume of work A team player with the ability to work independently Basic Internet and email literacy HTML experience a plus
