Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA) is an award-winning, 185-person structural and civil engineering firm headquartered in Seattle for 97 years. We are seeking a full-time entry-level Marketing Coordinator to work collaboratively with our Marketing team and Design Leaders as we continue to pursue world-class structural and civil engineering projects in the U.S. and around the world.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The primary focus of the Marketing Coordinator is preparing marketing proposals, as well as supporting the internal operations of MKA’s Marketing Department, involving the following:
– Strong verbal and written communication skills with high degree of professionalism
– Hands-on assistance with production of project proposals and other materials
– General maintenance of marketing records, database, and other collateral materials
– Serves as integral member of Marketing team, participating in additional departmental activities while working closely with others outside the department to provide support
– Works independently to meet deadlines
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Applies excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Employs an eye for detail with focus on accuracy of materials
– Balances multiple deadlines and changing priorities with ability to work efficiently under pressure
– Effectively interacts with engineers and other members of the marketing team to understand and communicate technical information
– Assists with advanced editing and proofreading of marketing materials
– Utilizes excellent time management skills, including organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization
– Upholds established company presentation and brand standards
QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent field
– Minimum of 1 year of relevant business experience with reliable work history
– Writing samples demonstrating strong business communication skills
– Experience with A/E/C industry preferred, but not required
– Proficiency using marketing and presentation software is preferred. May include experience with:
– – Deltek Vision
– – Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign)
– – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
– – Open Asset
