The United States is currently in the midst of a prescription opioid-drug abuse epidemic. Last year alone, 20,000 people died from an overdose of prescription opioid drugs. While limited new pain medicines have emerged in the last few years, great strides have been made in understanding the complex biology of pain. Scientists have discovered new pain pathway targets with the potential for designing effective and safe medicines with fewer off-target effects.
This symposium will discuss several innovative therapeutic approaches based on novel pain targets and mechanisms, as well as review new clinical approaches for development. Learn more.
We are delighted to welcome Luke Timmerman from The Timmerman Report as our panel moderator for this very special event.
