We are looking for a creative, and mission-oriented marketing leader to develop and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness among customers of the benefits Amazon can bring to traditionally-underserved customers. These strategies will support Amazon’s participation in the USDA’s Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program online purchasing pilot and related complementary customer-facing programs.
As a Senior Marketing Manager you will have ownership and responsibility to develop and execute marketing strategies as well as own outreach to and development of long-term relationships with external organizations. You will be responsible for customer research, measurement and analytics relating to our marketing activities, and ideation around how to reach our customer. Like everyone at Amazon, Marketing Managers work backwards from the customer and define and prioritize requirements to meet our customers’ unique needs. In addition, the Marketing Manager in this role will have significant external communication with leading organizations. This requires customer focus and strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to influence others while maintaining positive, win-win relationships. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, be motivated by a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep while also operating independently.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in product management/business management in a fast-moving environment and a record of successful product delivery or 4+ years of relevant experience with an MBA
- Experience in developing and evolving products
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at every level in the organization, including external
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on data
- Experience communicating with stakeholders across multiple business units, technical teams, senior management, and external parties
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of owning and delivering innovative experiences to customers
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in marketing or product management field
- Proven track-record of delivering online traffic growth from multiple sources including direct, SEO, sponsored links, banner ads, affiliates, and email campaigns
- Demonstrated success defining, developing, launching, and managing programs from white space
