We’re looking for high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Mobile Content Operations Specialists to create merchandising content for and perform quality assurance testing on the digital content consumed by Amazon’s mobile customers. As part of the mobile content operations team, you will set up and maintain records for our digital content. You will write accurate, engaging, and high-quality merchandising copy for the digital content. You will download, install, and test the digital content to ensure it meets Amazon’s high quality bar. Above all, you will play a vital role in helping us meet our selection expansion goals while protecting our high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Mobile Content Operations Specialist you will:
- Set up and maintain digital content records using internal Amazon systems
- Write accurate, engaging, and high-quality merchandising copy for the digital content, including titles, descriptions, marketing bullet points, technical specifications, and other item meta-data
- Download, install, and test Amazon’s digital content to ensure it meets Amazon’s high quality bar and adheres to Amazon’s merchandising policies
- Work with the account management team to address content issues as required
- Maintain detailed and accurate progress records to enable aggregate performance and issue tracking
- Identify and champion process improvement ideas and systems enhancements that could increase the productivity or quality of our content operations
- Above all, play a vital role in helping us meet our selection expansion goals while protecting our high-quality customer experience
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years professional writing experience or equivalent, ideally in a retail or marketing-related function (editorial, site merchandising, journalism, or technical writing)
- 3+ years quality assurance testing in a technology industry or equivalent
- eCommerce, retail, and mobile industry experience desired
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentrations in either a writing discipline or computer science preferred
Required Skills:
- Excellent writing skills; the ability to create accurate, engaging, grammatically correct, and high-quality merchandising copy without supervision
- Comfort working with a broad range of technological productivity and work-flow management tools including SharePoint, Excel, and Word
- A passion for computers, eCommerce, the Internet, digital content, and the mobile market segment
- Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
- Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement
- Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
- Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
- An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
