Whether you bring your smartphone with you to CenturyLink Field on NFL gameday, or want to call up the best plays of the game remotely, the new Seattle Seahawks mobile app puts the ball in your hands.
The team’s first official app includes stats on every player, league and game detail, and even lets you pick out great seats for upcoming games. The Hawk’s “12th Man” on the roster (“Seahawks Fans”) has not been overlooked in the mobile app. Neither have the Sea Gals. What’s more, your smartphone can scan QR code symbols from printed material inside or outside the stadium to retrieve extra data and social deals in a snap.
Ironically, for a team owned by Paul Allen in the land of Microsoft, a Windows Phone version is still pending, awaiting approval from Redmond. The Seattle Seahawks Mobile app is immediately available for download from the Apple iTunes store, and it is free!
The team says that a future edition planned for mid-year release may include on-demand instant reply. Imagine watching the play in real-time inside the stadium and then getting an instant replay on your hand-held device. How long will it be before game referees have a smartphone in their pockets to do the very same thing? [24×7]
