Metia, which operates a thriving digital marketing outpost in Kirkland, not quite resembling the Mad Men TV series but with a London, UK headquarters nonetheless, has been an integral part of the Microsoft Windows 8 Pro and Enterprise Launch sequence while announcing new leadership promotions within its ranks. The agency has appointed Andrew Martin as president and promoted J. Paul Anderson to regional vice president. No word yet on the fate of Don Draper or Roger Sterling who appear to have been displaced.
In his new role, Anderson will lead the operational strategy and execution for Metia’s Seattle office. Anderson has a deep understanding of digital brand experience, operations, software development and business development.
Prior to his promotion within the company, Anderson was Metia’s director of delivery and was responsible for the operation of Metia’s delivery teams including strategy, content, design, user experience, and development for clients including AT&T, Microsoft, K2, and TCS Starquest. He has also held high-level positions at ZAAZ, an interactive digital agency, and Implement Consulting Group.
“Metia’s offices are going through a transformation from locally focused agencies to global, regionalized creative and development services businesses. I’m extremely excited to be at the helm of this dynamic, thriving organization and I look forward to expanding its reach and influence at the national level. I am also confident that Paul will play an integral role in implementing our strategic vision regionally,” said Martin.
“I’m excited to lead Metia’s Seattle team and be a part of the growth and evolution of our business,” said Anderson. “Clients demand that agencies offer expertise with the platforms, tools and technologies needed to engage customers across an ever-evolving variety of touch points. Metia produces results, insights and metrics that clients can’t ignore, and I’m extremely proud to lead this group of talented individuals.”
With Martin’s shift to a national and strategic focus, and Anderson’s proven leadership in the operational details of B2B marketing and customer engagement, Metia is well-positioned to grow its business and further enhance its position as a premier digital marketing innovator in the U.S. and around the world.
Metia is also sharing in the world’s excitement and buzz over the release of Windows 8. The agency has formally announced that it had a chance to be involved thanks to our relationship with the Windows team, who engaged with Metia to design and develop both the Windows 8 Pro and Windows Enterprise sites.
What started as a maintenance engagement for the previous Windows 7-focused sites became a redesign of both sites in time for this fall’s Windows 8 launch. Metia worked closely with both Windows teams to deliver a heuristic review of the Pro and Enterprise sites with goals and objectives for each and strategic input.
Metia then designed site architectures, updated navigation, and redefined the user experiences to make the best use of content available or site visitors. Both sites take advantage of the new Microsoft Visual Brand Identity and align closely with the consumer-facing Windows.com site.
Both sites involved simplifying the message and creating a navigation that no longer hides the content. The target audiences (which included small business, ITDMs and IT Pros) are now able to easily find information that they are looking for whether that be benefits, customer stories, resources, or devices. The imagery, simple content, and clear calls to action help drive affinity for the Windows brand and contribute to a stronger customer experience.
A localization effort is in progress to roll out the sites across all supported languages and locales.
“Metia continues to be the trusted advisor to Windows Enterprise marketing team. For the redesign of Windows Enterprise site for Windows 8 launch, Metia played the central role in innovating, managing and implementing the redesign. The team from Metia is reliable and solid in their competency and simply great people to work with. I have been really happy with the service and overall quality of work. I would recommend anyone in Microsoft to consider Metia for digital marketing projects and beyond,” said Hye Jun, Senior Marketing Manager, Microsoft. [24×7]
