The world of search marketing, and its most elite software developers, tool makers, pundits and practitioners, descend on the Bell Harbor International Conference Center this week for the fifth annual edition of the Search Marketing Expo Advanced symposium, a sold-out, standing room only event with an expo hall of exhibitors and special workshop sessions that are open to the public.
In previous years, the SMX Advanced event has been a launching pad for among other things, Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine, Google and Yahoo’s images, Pay-per-click programs and site map initiatives, the announcement of countless innovations by industry OEM’s and the exchange of insider tips, secrets and best practices some of which are embargoed from publication by bloggers or reporters for 30 days following their disclosure.
SMX Advanced is produced by Third Door Media, the company behind the Search Engine Land news site, Sphinn.com, and the Search Marketing Now webcast series. Search Marketing Expo conferences are now held worldwide including: SMX West (San Jose, CA), SMX East (New York City), SMX Munich, SMX Toronto, SMX Sydney, SMX Melbourne, SMX Paris, SMX Stockholm and SMX SoLoMo – Social Local & Mobile (Phoenix, AZ). The SMX Advanced conference is considered the most advanced of the lineup.
On Wednesday June 8th at 9 am, Bing Director Stefan Weitz will be demoing the latest Bing features and chatting with conference host and moderator-in-chief, Danny Sullivan.
Among the many topics being covered are the search engine implications of social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, The SoLoMo (Social, Local,Mobile) Search Revolution, Quality Score: The Unwritten Manual for Google AdWords and Bing adCenter PPC, Overlooked, Underloved and Unkown Analytics, and the technical issues of search infrastructure.
