An infographic presenting the constellation of all-star companies that illuminate Seattle’s stellar tech space made an appearance on stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, illustrating how Washington State’s Tech Universe is shining brightly.
According to Michael Schutzler, CEO of the Washington [State] Technology Industry Association (WTIA), not just new companies but new industries are playing a key role in defining what’s next in our stars.
Schutzler believes we are starting to see our core tech ecosystem expanding. The three emerging industries in our region that are experiencing rapid growth are far-reaching: space exploration, biotech, and cleantech.
At last week’s Economic Forecasting Conference, the key performance indicators show the momentum of these new directions:
— Arivale, a local biotech company that had 20 employees last summer, and is now on pace to reach 250 employees by the end of 2016.
— Blue Origin, a privately funded aerospace company in the Seattle area, recently developed and launched a rocket into space that was built locally in Kent, WA.
— After the early success of a $36 million investment from the Clean Energy Fund, the Washington Legislature authorized an additional $40 million towards the region’s efforts to lead cleanteach in the years ahead
The Seattle Tech Universe Map, a stunning infographic, highlights the fact that more than 2100 new tech companies have been created and more than $58.4 billion has been invested in companies in Washington since the first Tech Universe Infographic was mapped in 2007. This week marks the first in “recent” Super Bowl history that Seattle does not have its NFL team competing for football’s biggest crown. Yet, after an MVP winning “Aloha” for two Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Pro Bowl, a new Super Bowl infographic by ICERTIS, the “Applied Cloud” company, shows off Seattle’s leadership in cloud-based Contract Management.
The Super Bowl themed infographic takes a look at the NFL’s record breaking contracts, highest overall earners, bonus structure and biggest contract fails.
After the big game on Sunday, football pundits will be quick to weigh in on athletes’ contract negotiations for the league’s most anticipated free agents and also reflect on contract worth for the previous season’s top earners. The Super Bowl Infographic attempts to capture the complexity of contracts for billion dollar industries like sports and media.
ICERTIS fully-automated contracting platform powers agreements for global enterprises and offers a new dimension in contract management and analytics for its customers, including Microsoft, HBO and Roche.
