Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, T-Mobile Tuesday, Need We Say More? 

In 2016, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday all set records for online sales. The shift to online buying during the holidays is set to continue apace for 2017.

Black November’s expansion means that shoppers are spreading out their buying over more days, but Thanksgiving weekend remains the most popular time of the month to nab a deal.

In 2015, shoppers spent an average of $299.60 during the weekend. For 2016, the average was $289.19. For 2017, expect shoppers to average $295.33 for the weekend spree.

Small Business Saturday is on November 25. Communities in and around Seattle are coming together to support all types of small businesses (from retail shops and restaurants to fitness studios and record stores).

Here are some of the local festivities:

Chinatown-International District Holiday Festival. Where: Hing Hay Park – 423 Maynard Avenue South, Seattle, When:  11 AM – 5 PM.

Ethnic Seattle will host a full-day Small Business Saturday celebration featuring vintage, craft and gift markets as well as a happy hour food walk, gingerbread house decorating, and other activities.
West Seattle Junction.  Brick-and-mortar businesses throughout West Seattle Junction are celebrating Small Business Saturday. Where:  California Ave SW, When: 7 AM – 7 PM
Magnolia Art Walk. Stroll and shop the Small Business Saturday art walk. Led by Vixen Day Spa and Boutique, businesses will host artists in-store in addition to live music and Small Business Saturday promotions.  Where: 3209 W McGraw St., Seattle, When:  4 PM – 7 PM.
