When: Friday, April 12, 2013, 7:45am – 9:30am

Where: Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave NE, Bellevue

What: Ben Bridge Jeweler is one of the largest family-run jewelry chains in the state of Washington. The quintessential family business with a remarkable lineage. Over a century ago, Samuel Silverman, fine guild watchmaker, opened a store in downtown Seattle. After marriage to Silverman’s daughter Sally in 1922, Ben Bridge joined the firm as a partner. When his father-in-law moved to California in 1927, Ben purchased Sam’s interest and renamed the store Ben Bridge Jeweler. The company has continued to grow and expand, making strategic moves across the map and becoming the personal jeweler we have loved for over a 100 years.

With such an remarkable and inspiring generation span – a giant amongst our quick-fire, startup world – it begs the question of how you maintain your stance, with enthusiasm for the core mission, over multiple generations? What cultural factors do you keep in place that re-energizes generation over generation? How do you manage the trends, community, and evolution of the city? Jon Bridge, Co-CEO and General Counsel for the company will step into the NWEN spotlight and share the key factors to the Ben Bridge success. Join NWEN for a glimmering view of this incredible local company.
