Canadian XR Startup Accelerator – Demo Day

WTIA, Global Affairs Canada, and BC Trade & Invest have partnered on a market accelerator program to help ten Canadian extended reality (XR) startups evaluate Washington state as an expansion opportunity.

Over the past two months, companies have participated in workshops, received introductions into the local tech ecosystem, and developed their international strategy. This Demo Day is the culmination of the program and a chance for each of the startups to tell their stories.

This will be a completely virtual event.

• Align VR – We use VR as a behavioral assessment tool for hiring & coaching.
• Avalon Holographics – Avalon builds light field hardware and software for natural 3D visual experiences.
• Cela – Cela devised a solution that offers a seamless 3D experience right out of the browser including augmented reality that helps buyers make an informed decision about products from home or remotely.
• Engage Creative Technologies – We build augmented reality tools for the offshore and maritime industries to navigate in low-lighting and low-visibility settings.
• Eyexpo Technology – Eyexpo provides an all-in-one immersive content creation, hosting, and data platform that boosts engagement and drives conversion for the business. This enables businesses to generate digital twins of people, places, and products. Eyexpo helps companies create 360 digital experiences with an intuitive immersive content creation and service platform.
• Humanitas – Humanitas specializes in emergency response and resilient technologies. We currently have three product sets: Nano Data Center (NDC) based on advanced/extreme edge computing, advanced telecom (Mobile ad hoc network on distributed infrastructures including smartphones, wearables, AR headsets and more), and Hyper-X-Space (HxS), an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) based on advanced simulation especially tuned for multi-agent systems such as swarming robotics and smart infrastructures.
• Luxsonic – At Luxsonic, our mission is to enable global ACCESS to healthcare using immersive technology. Our goal is to empower the healthcare industry by providing affordable, easily distributed, and immersive tools that improve medical education, hands-on training, and virtual healthcare delivery.
• Virtro – Virtro provides VR Training Simulations with AI Virtual Human Trainers. Immersive, Competency-based Simulations for faster learning & higher retention
• WeavAir – WeavAir provides end-to-end solutions for tracking SOx, CO2 and NOx emissions and for providing insights and analytics into contamination, air quality, and infection.
• WeShowUp – We build immersive online retail experiences for luxury goods, arts, and culture.
