Who: Green Sports Alliance
Where: CenturyLink Field
When: November 10
What: Increasing consumer interest in the origin and environmental impact of the food we consume is spurring an important conversation around healthier and more ecologically preferable food across North America. As food is so closely linked to athlete performance and the game day experience, this conversation is ramping up across the sports industry.
The Champions of Food Symposium at CenturyLink Field will convene 200+ regional professional and collegiate sports teams and venues, concessionaires, business and public leaders, restaurant owners, chefs and athletes to explore how the sports industry can advance more sustainable food production, healthier food options, ecologically preferable food waste management, and healthier communities where we live and play.
The Green Sports Alliance leverages the cultural and market influence of sports to promote healthy, sustainable communities where we live and play. We do so by inspiring sports leagues, teams, venues, their partners and millions of fans to embrace renewable energy, healthy food, recycling, water efficiency, species preservation, safer chemicals and other environmentally preferable practices. GSA members represent more than 300 sports teams and venues from 20 different sports leagues and 14 countries.
