CIO Awards Dinner 2012, Puget Sound Business Journal
When: Thursday, December 13, 2012, 5:30pm-9:00pm
Where: Bell Harbor Conference Center, Pier 66, Seattle
What: PSBJ’s new annual award program honoring the state’s top information and technology officers who leverage technology in innovative ways to create a competitive advantage, optimize business processes, and impact the company’s top and bottom lines.
Technology has become an integral part of all companies. Going far beyond email and phones, it’s nearly impossible to find a firm that doesn’t rely heavily on information technology to do business. The companies that have become excellent at embracing technology to help them positively impact both the top and bottom lines have excellent IT leaders. Those leaders’ roles have evolved from minders of communication systems and computers to indispensable strategic advisors and operations experts. They now must blaze trails on desktop and mobile frontiers to market the company, sell its goods, and manage customer relations. They must have their head in the cloud, be social, and constantly innovate to capture competitive advantage. And they must defend against cyber security issues to protect both the company and its customers. It’s PSBJ’S goal to recognize these top technology leaders with their first annual CIO Awards. Awards will be presented in six categories honoring a current top IT Executive (CIO, CTO etc.) of a company:
