What:David Carson is an American graphic designer, renowned magazine art director and former professional surfer. He is most known for his unique typographic style.
After taking courses internationally for graphic design, Carson became the art director for numerous magazines, including Transworld Skateboarding and its sister publication Transworld Snowboarding. He was then hired on to Ray Gun Magazine, where his crafted aesthetic earned him features in the New York Times and Newsweek Magazine.
Carson later founded his own creative agency, David Carson Design, and began producing work for Ray Ban, Nike, Microsoft, Budweiser, Georgio Armani and Levis in the 1990’s. His more recent clients include AT&T, British Airways, Kodak, Mercedes-Benz and MTV Global. In his most recent years, Carson has actively educated and lectured globally.
