What: A tremendous amount of attention is dedicated to making workplace environments more diverse and inclusive. Yet, despite concentrated effort, women, people of color, and members of the LGBT community continue to face implicit and explicit barriers in the workplace, and are underrepresented in management and senior leadership positions. Join us at this panel discussion where professionals from diverse backgrounds explore, discuss and unpack how gender and race intersect in the workplace, as well as share their personal stories of career surprise, heartache, and triumph. This will be a highly interactive, solutions-based dialogue that will serve as a prelude to a hands-on General Assembly workshop addressing issues of #DiversityinTech.
