wtiaExecutive Women in Tech, WTIA

When: Wednesday, January 15, 2014, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Where: F5 Networks, 351 Elliott Avenue West, Seattle

What: Taking a Tech Company from Mid to Large

It’s not unusual to see small tech companies with early or even maintained success, but getting over the $100M line is no easy feat. Few local companies have crossed that line let alone continue to see increases in revenue year after year. So what does it take for a mid-market tech company to cross the $100M line? How do you deal with potential hindrances such as having adequate talent, acquisition temptations, access to capital, and pivoting issues?

Join the WTIA’s EWiT Group as they welcome President and CEO of F5 Networks, John McAdam for an interactive discussion interviewed by veteran technology executive and startup advisor, Susan Sigl. F5 Networks is a local software and hardware company that manages internet traffic in and out of data centers and protects that traffic from cyber-attacks. McAdam led the growth of F5 Networks from a $108M company in 2000 to over $1.4B this year. Recently named PSBJ’s CEO of the Year, John McAdam has immense experience in transitioning a mid-market company to one of the leading tech companies. In addition to growth strategies, McAdam will discuss the importance of women leaders at F5.
