Abstract: WordPress powers a vast majority of the world’s websites thanks to an expansive universe of themes and plugins. The true power of WordPress, though, is its extensibility. Freelance developer Brian Dennis lifts the hood and digs deeper into WordPress, its extensibility and how developers might leverage this knowledge.
Bio: Brian Dennis is a Seattle-based software professional that works with private and nonprofits organizations to solve interesting challenges. His international portfolio runs the gamut of WordPress, IoT, SaaS to elearning and nomadic computing. Multimedia, IoT and the intersection of technology + art & culture are particular favorites. Away from the keyboards he volunteers with King County Explorer Search and Rescue, referees soccer and aspires to work from hammocks on the world’s most beautiful beaches.
