What:  Interpersonal conflict can derail important discussions at work, and costs American companies billions of dollars each year. Many people ignore conflict until it’s too late to resolve. Healthy cultures handle conflict directly, yet most Americans were never taught how to do that. In this talk, Mikaela Kiner, CEO, Reverb, will explore constructive approaches to conflict, and offer real-world skills you can use immediately. If you want to get better at addressing – not avoiding – conflict, this talk is for you.

Who: Mikaela Kiner is a founder and CEO, executive coach, and author. In 2015, Mikaela founded Reverb, to help companies create healthy, inclusive cultures that engage and inspire employees. Prior to Reverb, Mikaela held HR leadership roles at Northwest companies including Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon, PopCap Games, and Redfin. Mikaela enjoys coaching leaders at all levels, working with mission-driven organizations, and supporting women and girls in tech. She’s the author of an upcoming book Female Firebrands: Stories and Techniques to Ignite Change, Take Control, and Succeed in the Workplace (Greenleaf Press, January 2020).
