When: Thursday, January 15, 2015 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Where: One Union Square, 600 University Suite 2820, Seattle

What: Come hear how the pros evaluate a startups value with the MIT Enterprise Forum.

Just how much is your startup worth? The short answer is probably less than you’d like and more than an investor would prefer to pay.

So how do you reconcile the various perspectives and settle on a valuation for your pre- or post-revenue startup or emerging growth company?

It’s not a simple task. It’ll depend on things like your industry, timing, stage of development and the type and amount of money you’re looking for. And the process is rife with terms like EBITDA, financial forecasts and discounted cash flow analysis.

Want to know more?

An enlightening and interactive discussion of just how young companies are valued. MIT has assembled an expert panel of been-there-done-that entrepreneurs, investors and consultants to help you understand the key drivers of valuation, including approaches to take, factors to consider, information to prepare and questions to answer.

They’ll also look at how various types of financing — crowdfunding, for example — can influence the value.

Bring your questions and share your experiences.

How Much: TBD
