Who: General Assembly
Where: WeWork – South Lake Union, 500 Yale Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109
When: February 10, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
What: Getting into the mindset of Lean Startup can be hard. For a visionary startup founder or Product Manager who wants to see their ideas manifest in a fully realized product, the concept of Minimal Viable Product (MVP) can be counterintuitive and painfully difficult to implement.
This workshop helps put you into the Lean Startup mindset and allows you to participate in exercises that demonstrate the value of using MVPs to accelerate the journey to product market fit.
The course will also discuss tactics on how to test and validate (or invalidate) your hypotheses, how to identify your problem space and create personas to help narrow your initial MVP, and why the MVP acronym is its own worst enemy.
You’ll also learn how to implement an idea management system in order to capture the backlog of ideas and features that are removed during the processes of establishing your MVP.
Students will have the opportunity to apply concepts learned in the workshop by engaging in collaborative exercises.
By the end of the session, students will learn how to apply the concept of MVP to move their startup or product in the right direction.
This workshop can be helpful to startup founders, Product Owners, and Product Managers. UX and developers working within organizations that use Lean methodology will also find value in understanding these fundamentals.
