Introducing the Innovate ’17 Summit. This 2 day event is an entrepreneurship bootcamp & startup pitch contest for teens (organized by high school students) and will occur at Microsoft Building 30 in Redmond, WA.
The first day (Saturday, November 18th) will include presentations from local CEOs and entrepreneurs as well as other PNW Executives to help young entrepreneurs develop their ideas and their business plans.
These speakers include Jon Roskill (CEO at Acumatica), James Billmaier (CEO of TurboPatent), Ajoy Krishnamoorthy (Head of Cloud Platform Division at Acumatica), Andy Sack (Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Founder’s Co-op), Rahul Sood (Founder & CEO at Unikrn and former GM and creator of Microsoft Ventures), Gillian Muessig (Founding President at Moz and CEO of Outlines Venture Group), and Gene Farrell (SVP at Smartsheet). There are more speakers coming as well!
The students will receive two weeks to work on their idea and business plan and on the second (Saturday, December 2nd) day, students will compete in a pitching competition and present/pitch their idea to a panel of judges. The first and second place winners will be awarded prizes. Anybody with a passion for business, technology, and entrepreneurship is welcome (8th grade to College is recommended.). All proceeds from the event will be donated to a non-profit organization and the early-bird ticket costs $29.99 (first 30 tickets) and the remainder cost $49.99.
