What is a copyright? How do I get trademark? Why is the news filled with stories about patents and mobile phones these days?
We will discuss:

- Trademark/Trade Dress
- What Trade Secrets, and Patents are
- How and when to obtain them
- What rights they give you
Instructor:
Jim Haugen, founder of Seattle Patent Group, has been working with patents since January 2006, and has been a registered patent agent since February 2007. He has done patent prosecution (writing patent applications and responding to office actions from the USPTO to obtain patents), adivising clients on strategies to protect intellectual property to ensure optimal intellectual property protection within a given budget, and patent information analysis for litigation support. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2010.
