What: The business world moves so fast, we can never afford to stop learning. This course will teach you how to start and grow your business. During seven, 3-hour sessions, participants will learn how to manage, market and finance their businesses, with a focus on writing a business plan. Participants will also enjoy networking with other people who are starting or running businesses.
Session One: Planning (9/18)
What is an entrepreneur? What does it mean to be a business owner? Feasibility and business planning. Key components of a business plan, leadership and business ethics.
Who: Instructing is Darren Guyaz, a Small Business Consultant for the Washington Women’s Business Center at Community Capital Development. He is a musician, photographer, writer, three-time entrepreneur, coach, and graduate of Pinchot University’s sustainable MBA program. He is trained in the Toyota Kata methodology of coaching/consulting by the W3 Group. He spends his free time roaming the Olympic Peninsula, playing gigs around Puget Sound with his band and enjoying Seattle’s array of good food, wine and coffee.
