SERVERLESS CONTAINERS AND KUBERNETES: VIRTUAL KUBELET FTW!
As more and more people consider the benefits of truly serverless container technology, we’ll take a look at Serverless container infrastructure like Azure Container Instances, and show how we are thinking about integrating it with Kubernetes orchestration via the “virtual kubelet” project.
Brendan Burns is a Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft Azure where he runs teams that specialize in containers and DevOps. Brendan is also a co-founder of the Kubernetes Open Source project with Joe Beda and Craig McLuckie. Brendan has a PhD in Robotics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BA in Computer Science and Studio Art from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

John Harris is a Technical Account Manager / Solutions Architect at Docker where he works with customers to design solutions for deploying and scaling container infrastructure and applications. Before Docker he ran global services for a DevOps & Continuous Delivery consultancy and has been working with Docker and containers since 2014. Outside of his containerized world he co-leads the Seattle CoffeeOps and West Seattle Linux User Group meetups and tweets @johnharris85.
