You enter a business event, smell the staleness of the room, feel the anxiety of people lurching towards the bar for a little liquid courage, look into a sea of strangers and get a knot in your stomach as someone approaches you to spew a pitch about their company to you.
They hope you’re someone they can sell, and you hope they’ll stop the insanity quickly so you can escape. You feel like you’re trapped and being treated like a wallet, not a person.
That simply doesn’t happen at New Tech. Instead, you see a line of people outside waiting to get in before the doors open. Friendly people talk with you in line about a hike they just took, how much they love Seattle or they ask you what you’re up to and how they might be able to assist you to get what you’re looking for.
What? They actually care about hearing about what you want and need? YES! You’re in the right place.
And so it begins. At New Tech Seattle events, you’ll always make quality connections with interesting people, enjoy great food and drinks, be entertained, celebrate presentations of new tech being created by companies from Seattle (or as far away as Saudi Arabia), laugh, smile, and have a fun night out.
Our goal is to create a tech event built around you. One that’s welcoming, entertaining, informative, valuable, and specifically designed to connect you with the people, partners, organizations, and resources to help you build your career or company.
Expect to meet at least two quality contacts at every event. If you don’t, then we, and our community, failed.
You can also join us on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at New Tech Eastside if you spend more time in Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, and the surrounding cities.
We believe that the Greater Seattle Area has the greatest tech community in the country, and the more we support our full tech ecosystem the more greatness we’ll all experience and create together!
This month, we’re featuring the following Seattle companies doing great things with new technology:
Presentation #1: Cirkledin presented by Reetu Gupta
Presentation #2: Snackdish presented by Kevin Hall
Presentation #3: Clean Power Research presented by Jeremy Stone
Presentation #4: ebay presented by Lawrence Colagiovanni
