What: Do you have a product idea but not sure where to start? Learn how to gain consensus with your team and turn your idea into reality in this class. We will cover different types of prototypes and the tools that you will use to make your first prototypes. You’ll leave with a solid understanding of digital prototypes and have a case study and photographs to use as a portfolio piece.

While none is required, a basic understanding of the field of user experience would be helpful. Students may want to bring their laptops, but it is not required

About the Instructor

Carlye is a professional dancer turned UX Designer/Content Strategist. Before finding General Assembly, she founded and directed a dance company, created curriculum and taught dance classes, and went on performance tours. She also worked as a freelance web copywriter and content strategist. She has a Sociology degree from the University of British Columbia. Carlye is genuinely interested in understanding the goals and motivations behind human behavior, and creating designs that meet those needs. She seeks to design solutions that allow people to better enjoy their life experiences. Carlye is an avid adventurer-she loves to travel, taste test and explore the outdoors.
