Erick Watson is the Managing Director of SproutVest Advisers, Ltd. Co., a corporate development services consultancy with a focus on seed-stage startups. He currently serves as Fund Development Manager for Seattle Angel Conference (SAC) 18 Fund.

Prior to SproutVest, Erick was the VP of Product & Market Development for Quantarium, LLC where he drove commercialization of the company’s extensive patent portfolio in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies. Erick has over fifteen years of experience in software product development and regulated financial services, many of which were spent at Microsoft Corporation.
Erick has served on the advisory boards of several early-stage startups operating in the Greater Puget Sound area, including Socedo, a Twitter-based CRM company; TimeXtender, a Danish data warehouse automation provider; and G.A.E.M.S., a console gaming hardware manufacturer.

Erick obtained his B.A. in Linguistics from Louisiana State University and was an Associate Professor of English at Xi’an Jiao Tong University in China.
