Seattle Arts & Lectures: Dean Baquet & Marty Baron

Sit down with Seattle Arts & Lectures, Dean Baquet, the executive editor of the New York Times, and Marty Baron, the editor of the Washington Post, for a conversation about the importance of investigative journalism and the path forward for media in this political era.

The first African- American in the Times’ top post, Baquet won a Pulitzer Prize for documenting corruption in the Chicago City Council as an investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Newsrooms under Baron have won 14 Pulitzer Prizes, including the Boston Globe’s investigation into the Catholic Church’s pattern of concealing clergy sex abuse, portrayed in the Academy Award-winning film Spotlight.
