- The steps in starting a business.
- Types of business organizations.
- Information on writing a business plan.
- How to do research.
- What lenders look for when applying for a business loan.
- The importance of developing a cash flow projection and how to do it.

Who: Instructing is Nita Conlan, the Director of the Washington Business Center at Community Capital Development. She has owned her own small businesses, worked in small businesses, and has provided consulting/technical assistance and training to small businesses for a number of years. Nita holds a Business Degree in Marketing from the University of Texas.
