How is running your software infrastructure like racing a Formula 1 Car?
We are very excited to announce this special edition of the SRE Meetup, with Andrew Jarvis, Lead Performance and Operations Engineer at the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team. Andrew will present SRE – Parallels in Motorsport
Formula 1 is the pinnacle of single-seater motorsport in the world, with 10 teams contesting 23 races over 5 continents, picking out the most relevant data at the right time can mean the difference between winning and losing. This talk aims to give an overview of the monitoring task faced within Formula 1, as well as the standard techniques used by Race Engineering to pull out key insights when under intense time pressure. Hopefully, by illustrating some commonality between SRE and the motorsport industry, we can open a dialog for sharing data monitoring techniques in the future.
