Startup Grind Seattle Hosts Barry Crist, CEO (Chef)

Barry Crist has more than 20 years of experience in driving enterprise customer success with open source and DevOps software solutions and is a recognized leader in driving a culture of innovation. Barry joined Chef as CEO in 2013 and has been a leading force behind the company’s business operations, culture and technology innovation.

Prior to joining Chef, Barry was an Executive-in-Residence at Ignition Partners, a Chef investor. Barry provided guidance to Ignition on investment opportunities and coached multiple portfolio companies, providing education and support on how to start and grow a business even through tough situations. Previously, Barry was CEO of Likewise, which he led through a successful exit via acquisition by EMC Isilon in September 2012.
