What: An event where start-ups pitch their great products/services to local area investors who offer immediate feedback, and choose the company with the best idea. Purchase a seat to see for yourself the best local start-ups in 2014.
This one-of-a-kind online competition is for startups from all industries — a pitch session in front of area venture capitalists. The goal: Getting the chance to pitch your business ideas and products live in front of seasoned venture capitalists at a special event in November and win the coveted TechFlash Cup.
Each week for four weeks in October, 10 companies chosen by a panel of judges will compete with each other for the most online votes based on video and weekly blog installments on the PSBJ website that showcase the companies.
The company with the most votes at the end of the four weeks of competition will become the People’s Choice Award winner. It will join five other TechFlash Cup competitors, which the judges select, to pitch their company live to our panel of judges and the PSBJ audience for chance to get honest feedback from the judges who are venture capitalists and startup veterans.
The winner will walk away with the TechFlash Cup and be featured in the Puget Sound Business Journal and online on TechFlash.
