What: Wearable technology is touching all aspects of fashion and function as computing integrates with the human body. This event will touch on the design aspects critical for mass consumer adoption and will look at the possibilities of improving health care delivery using new technologies like Google Glass. The panel will also explore issues of usability that arise as new human-computing interfaces are developed.
Key points include: What is available now and where it is headed? What developments will bring wearable devices into widespread use?
More wearables will mean more data. What are the possibilities and challenges associated with deriving meaning from wearables data? We’ll discuss the privacy concerns associated with ubiquitous sensing present in distributed wearable devices – where is the data going, and who can access it?
