The Design Hire – Lessons from the other side

October 1, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Are you curious about what it is that makes some portfolios stand out, while others get passed by? What’s the difference between talking confidently about your skills VS coming off as too arrogant?

Join us to hear Chris Durbin dive deep into what the resume & portfolio review process is like at Amazon and shares the inner dialogue a UX hiring manager thinks while reviewing multitudes of applications. She will discuss different strategies for representing yourself authentically at every level of UX expertise – beginner, mid, and senior-level – and share tips for how to own the room during your portfolio review.
