What: President of Administration and Chief Information Officer at Harrison Medical Center, will discuss the latest technological advances, how this will impact your care, and what’s being offered at Harrison Hospital.
Adar Palis is the Vice-President of Administration and Chief Information Officer at Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton, Washington. After earning dual degrees in computer science and business administration, in addition to multiple technical certifications, he began his career at Harrison Medical Center in 2002 as a network engineer and expanded into more responsible leadership positions.
While working full time he completed his Masters program in Information Systems Management. Adar is currently responsible for Information Technology, Medical Imaging, BioMedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Electronic Health Record, Community Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange systems.
Achievements at Harrison include establishing a more customer-focused IT department; building state-of-the-art datacenter; installing a completely new network infrastructure to include remote campuses digitizing x-rays; and most recently, leading the organization in successfully implementing an inpatient Electronic Health Record; implementation of a community Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange; negotiation and purchase of hospital owned Laboratory, developed and implemented Laboratory Outreach Services; installation of Video Teleconferencing and opened and operationalized a new vascular ultrasound lab.
In addition to many professional accomplishments, Adar takes great pride in his community involvement, which includes: ETTA Project, Rotary and March of Dimes Team Captain.
