What: Karl J. Weaver’s presentation will discuss the history of mobile NFC SIM card based payments, TSMs, Smart card industry, secure element security storage and then discuss how the creation of cloud-based mobile payments (Host Card Emulation) is changing the landscape and how embedded mobile device security combined with tokenization will rule payments in 2015. We highlight the rise of Apple, Android, Samsung “Pay” and what it means for mobile device security. We will also discuss ARM Trustzone, Trustonic’s TEE – Trusted Execution Environment for device security, and looking at lack of privacy and security on mobile devices unless you deploy “tamper resistant” security solutions combining software with hardware. Finally, some discussion of the future hybrid mobile payment smartphones and how security will be central to growth will close the presentation.
