Founder driven life science startups are becoming more & more a trend, driven by the rise in platform companies. Raising a first round of funding can be hard, as well as identifying best early applications & building the appropriate team. In this talk, we’ll cover all this & more.

Chas Pulido is a 3rd generation healthcare CEO, serial entrepreneur, advisor, & investor with a passion for chasing mission-driven companies disrupting industries.

Chas began his entrepreneurial pursuits at The University of Notre Dame where he sought a B.A. in Management Consulting and served as an Innovation Fellow. His interests took him west to Silicon Valley through Y-Combinator with the founding of his prior company, Pareto Life Sciences (YC s18), the world’s first stem cell marketplace. Extending his healthcare expertise, Chas joined Clara Health as an early employee where he helped lead up business development & operations to help patients access breakthrough treatments via clinical trials.

He has also served as an advisor to numerous early stage healthcare & life sciences startups across: bio-manufacturing, remote patient monitoring, tele-health, genomic data, lab services, computational therapeutic platforms, amongst others.

Chas began his foray into venture capital began with the opportunity to help lead up healthcare/biotech investing at Liquid 2 Ventures, a leading early stage sector VC fund focused on backing great founders: 500+ Investments. While @ L2V, Chas spent his time sourcing/diligencing new investments & helping portfolio company founders with GTM, hiring, & sales/BD.

Chas now serves as General Partner at Alix Ventures where he focuses on investing in & supporting high potential early stage startups driving patient impact.

From raising capital to scaling to exit strategies, these seasoned guest speakers deliver valuable content designed to help startups and entrepreneurs thrive. Lectures are typically 30-40 mins, followed by open Q&A.
