Join us for this month’s Seattle TypeThursday!
Type Thursday Seattle is a monthly meetup for anyone who loves letterforms: typography, calligraphy, lettering, type design, sign painting, even ceramic letters and more.
Each month we welcome four brave practitioners who are willing to present one of their current projects for an audience-participation critique session. Bring us your unfinished projects — it can be a typeface you are developing, a poster that uses lettering, or your UI project that needs readability feedback.
Interested? Please email our Critique Lead, Ana Sofia, at [email protected].
The structure of the 2.5-hour event is networking and socializing time, then an hour of crits, and finally time for mingling, talking, and more networking. Wine and beer will be provided throughout the evening, plus light snacks.
What to Expect (Roughly):
6:00 – 6:30pm: Check in & Networking
6:30 – 6:45pm: Opening Statements & Introduction
6:45 – 8:00pm: Type Critiques
8:00 – 8:30pm: More Networking
Event Host Partner: General Assembly Seattle (Disclaimer: GA requires us to give them the email addresses of all our attendees)

What kind of work can I bring to the event?
Bring your work-in-progress projects that have typographic elements. Anything that type designers and educators can help you with!
