UW Women in Business Spring Gala with the First Lady of Seattle

Raise a glass alongside MBA Foster Women in Business (WiB) alumni and students to celebrate the accomplishments of Foster women with an award ceremony and special guest speaker, Joanne Harrell, First Lady of Seattle.

Join Joanne Harrell for a personal fireside chat about her roles in the high-tech, telecommunications and non-profit worlds. Come hear from Joanne about balancing professional commitments and community engagement, mentorship, finding your individual voice, and staying true to your causes.

Woman of the Year Award

The WiB Woman of the Year Award recognizes women in the WiB community who made notable contributions to the women of the Foster MBA community and their allies. Specifically, it recognizes women who furthered the mission of WiB by supporting the personal and professional development of Foster women MBA students and creating a welcoming environment where women MBA students can thrive.

Please nominate a current MBA student and/or alumna for the Woman of the Year Award upon registration.

About the Event

We’re excited to see you all at the Gala, Friday, May 5th at 6pm at Anthony Hall (located in PACCAR Hall). A few reminders:

Check-in: From 6pm-6:30pm. The event begins at 6:30pm

Parking: $6.25 starting 4 pm on Friday. Feel free to park in either lot N1 or N5. The parking map can be found here and here.

Directions: Please enter through the entrance of PACCAR Hall on E Stevens Way near the intersection with Memorial Way NE. Anthony Hall is on the 1st Floor (see map). There will be a greeter to help direct you.

ID: Please bring your ID, we’ll check IDs at registration

Tickets: You do not need to bring your ticket, we’ll check you in with your last name and ID

Dress code: Cocktail attire

Food/Drink: A seated buffet style meal with 2 alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverage tickets
