Isaac Kato is Managing Director of Techstars’ Seattle Accelerator. Techstars is a global startup ecosystem that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Isaac is a serial entrepreneur, technology leader, and investor.
Before Techstars, Mr. Kato served as President of Mighty AI, a venture-backed company which was acquired by Uber. He has co-founded two companies – the first, Sven Technologies, was a 3D graphics software startup he co-founded, ran, and sold to a public CAD software company. From 2007-2017, he was co-founder and CFO of Verne Global, an Icelandic data center developer and operator, where he raised $200M of equity and debt capital and led several functions. Today, Verne is one of the largest third party data centers in the Nordic area.
Isaac has also spent a decade as a VC and growth equity investor, most recently with General Catalyst Partners. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and an MS and BS from Stanford University.
