Position: Creative Director

What: POP is looking for a Creative Director who is a big thinker loaded with industry specific knowledge. They look at brands from fresh angles and help our clients deepen their knowledge of interactive marketing. The Creative Director will set a strong conceptual and strategic direction for our clients and have a remarkable ability to present and sell those ideas to the client and project team. They are responsible for the overall quality of the concept and are ultimately responsible for the delivery of the customer experience. This position reports to the Executive Creative Director.
Responsibilities: Work with a cross-disciplinary team to determine overall pitch processes Define and execute the experience strategy to meet our clients’ business needs. Have a strong and persuasive presentation and inspirational communication skills. Demonstrate a passion to spearhead new creative directions. Promote a culture of innovation, teamwork, and design excellence. Work with project leaders to ensure they are reading, interpreting, and reacting appropriately to the strategic, logistic, and creative needs of the client. Direct experienced teams including: Copywriters, Designers, User Experience Architects and technologists, to ensure all work delivered to our clients is of the highest standards. Establish and nurture excellent working relationships with clients. Oversee simultaneous projects from inception to completion, reviewing project plans, designs, and deliverables. Stay current with interactive/advertising trends and find innovative ways to share them throughout the organization. Suggest and execute initiatives that improve both the team and the company. Contribute to the design community, its practices and expertise. Identify and implement process improvements to meet project and team needs. Collect feedback and best-case examples from the team and collaborate with the ECD to drive the creative futures of both the Creative Team and POP
Requirements: At least 5 years experience managing a design team. At least 10 years professional design experience. Strong leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to mentor and develop skills in junior designers. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups at all levels of a client organization. Ability to coordinate with multiple groups and disciplines. BA or MA in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or Visual Arts
