Position: E-mail Designer
Where: Seattle
What: CharityUSA.com is currently looking for an E-mail Designer. This person will be an integral member of the E-mail Team and will help produce high quality and effective e-mail marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone who is passionate about our causes and the business of giving back.
This is a FULL TIME position and will be located at our Seattle, WA headquarters. This position Full Time, telecommuting is not an option for this position and it is not a contract position.
Responsibilities: Duties include:
*Creating high-quality commercial e-mail designs based on knowledge of layout principles, efficient coding and aesthetic design concepts.
*Generating new artwork consistent with organizational dynamics using Adobe CS computer software.
*Implementation of graphics and text into designs using Dreamweaver or hand-coded HTML editor. Utilizing Illustrator to produce graphics and artwork.
*Implementation of marketing strategies to create graphic designs that align with commercial and promotional marketing campaigns.
*Testing all blasts and addressing design problems–whether they be HTML/CSS or graphics related.
Requirements:
*Educational background in web design, and/or web programming and strong understanding of various web technologies.
*At least two years experience in producing product and marketing-related graphic designs.
*At least two years experience with HTML/CSS and image mapping (JavaScript or other coding skills is a plus).
*Demonstrated experience with hand-coded HTML editor software. Ability to fully hand-code web pages and HTML e-mails.
*Must be proficient in Adobe CS software and Microsoft Office suite.
*Experience with sFTP and computer network use and server directory structures.
*Experience designing e-commerce e-mails, with an understanding of user interface and proper coding for HTML e-mails is preferable.
*Familiar with staging product photographs and image masking.
*Use of commercial E-mail marketing/blasting software is a plus.
*Ability to work independently and within a team.
*Ability to work effectively with on- and off-site team members, and communicate effectively via e-mail, by phone and in person with teammates, manager, and others within the company.
*Must be attentive to detail and have ability to work quickly yet with accuracy.
*Must have excellent follow through, organizational and time management skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
*Ability to take initiative; offer new ideas; keep abreast of competition and market trends.
*Must enjoy and be successful in a fast-paced workflow.
*Passion for company mission important.
*Sense of humor required.
