What: Smashing Ideas is seeking an experienced Interactive Producer for CMS-driven websites and applications. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of cross-functional team management, have a passion for IA and usability, understand how to set the appropriate tone for a project, be able to juggle relationships with several types of personalities (internal and external), and operate with a constant sense of urgency — but without a sense of panic — under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities: Own and manage the project production process, from RFP & scoping, all the way through delivery documentation. Perform regular site reviews and reporting for new and existing features from a performance/quality standpoint. Translate business, marketing and production goals into digital media projects with a focus on ROI. Continually assess new technologies, web services and web design; be proactive in presenting recommendations based on assessments. Write project proposals, creative briefs, functional specifications, website copy, tracking requirements and content matrices. Create website flow documents, wireframes and collaborate with the team to create technical specifications for each project. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify critical milestones and ensure timely deliverables. Act as a technical and creative partner to clients, and a leader for internal teams. Collaborate with leads from all functional departments to ensure assignments are clear and deadlines met. Provide regular status reports to client and team members. Simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or advanced training or certification. At minimum 3 years of experience leading website projects from start to finish, 5 years with digital projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously Technical knowledge involving project development tools such as Social Networking APIs, Drupal, PHP, CSS, Brightcove, bash/drush scripting & MySQL. The ability to competently act as a consultant to clients regarding new and existing technologies. Experience creating site maps and wireframes. A solid understanding of the lifecycle of web development (Interaction Design, Visual Design and Development). Information Architecture knowledge/experience. Passion for new technologies and innovation a must. Entertainment background a plus. Experience with MS Project a plus. This is an on-site position at Seattle office with some travel is expected. We are open to individuals seeking a contract position, but they must be willing to commit to a minimum 3 month contract.
