Positon: Online Product Analyst
Where: Seattle/Fremont
What: As Online Product Analyst, you’ll be a premier user of our data visualization software. You’ll explore interesting data sets and publish them on the web to tell the world about our products. The Data Analyst needs to be a quantitative whiz who can also understand the human side of data: what it means, why it’s important. As part of the marketing department, your work will be instrumental in driving demand for Tableau’s products and providing feedback to product development.

+ Search for interesting data and evaluate its potential for broad interest

+ Produce stunning visuals to convey the story inside the data
+ Become familiar with Tableau¡¦s features, benefits and applications
+ Manage web pages and sites to build interest in stories
+ Work with bloggers and journalists to publicize stories
+ Provide feedback on pre-release features and use cases
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
+ Excellent quantitative ability: you have a strong aptitude for statistics or analytics
+ Problem solving ability: you enjoy tackling new problems
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills: you¦re able to tell a story through data
+ Strong computer skills
+ Internet savvy
+ Some programming experience and ability to work with APIs is a plus
+ Working with databases is a plus
Qualifications:
+ BS or advanced degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance
+ 0 – 1 year of experience
+ Good written communications
+ Ability to work independently and multi-task
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Microsoft Excel
+ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
+ Handle details accurately and in a timely manner
+ Strong work ethic
